On the occasion of Christmas Day, we organised a special event for our little guests, with a ‘family’ lunch. It was a time of togetherness, with the intention of not making the orphaned children and young people living in our centre feel lonely.
We prepared a special menu with delicious food and drinks, served to our children with the help of numerous friends and relatives who did not want to miss the day.
Also present were government officials, social workers, religious leaders and journalists who, in the spirit of Christmas, gave words of encouragement for our children: that is why we are proud of our activity and the goal we have achieved, namely to give happiness and hope to those who really need it, to make them feel loved and protected.
For this, we also officially launched our slogan: ‘Their future, our responsibility’. Moreover, thanks to that event, we managed to create a network we called “Friends of SHAYO”, where we invited our close friends to be part of our supporters and contribute in any way, including ideas, resources and so on.
